Lonely Kamel, took one of the most interesting albums of the past 2010, its "Blues for the Dead , which sounded in his day for the motel, direct from Oslo, with its hard reminiscent of Sabbath, Hendrix, Thin Lizzy and all the bands that marked the path of global rock hard. Lukas guitarist, sat in the motel bar, has shared a few beers and talk a little rock and roll. Ladies and gentlemen, Lonely Kamel:
MB-Hi Lukas, tell me. How about the Lonely Kamel currently LK-
There a lot of good things around Lonely Kamel currently.
At this time we are preparing for a tour in February . Let participate in a festival stock called Up in Smoke for the 3 Lately (Berlin and Erfuhrt in Germany and Tilburg in Holland ) , with Sungrazer , Rotor and Haze color. Will be in places quite large so that will be a great experience for us . Let turn around in Europe on our own for a week after that.
We will in road again in April , to finish in Holland the powerful Roadburn Festival .
And we a good deal of a label. can not say anything about it right now, but something good this definitely going .
MB-As I am Lonely Kamel?
LK- Stian and Thomas wanted to play type of music that they liked listen and all began as a jam band . They a demo, and after a while had the opportunity to open for Orange Goblin . They needed a guitarist better, so that I appear here. then after that will record the first album , our battery moved to San Diego . I had been watching the battery of coolest rock of Oslo , in other bands, so me recommended it . Luckily for us not was very busy at the moment .
And is that he was really the link lost.
MB "Because you decided to play classic rock
LK- R ealmente decided never to play style. We played what makes us feel good .

LK- We are pleased with the result , but the recording process was too long. We that enter the study one day a week, one day to the next. The next time we to go to study and stay there until that we're done .
MB-addition to the tour I said before, you have some great festival scheduled for this summer?
LK-The festival Muskelrock in Sweden in June and a couple of events minor.
MB-What you remember as your best concert
LK "Technically : a concert quite an anonymous place called Gamla in Oslo . But is difficult to say that concert was the most fun . We had a wonderful night in Siegen with Orcus Chylde.
And Launch Party in Oslo for Blues for the dead, was incredible. Many people dancing on stage and stuff.
MB-A a bit difficult if you had to choose a song to all songs, which would you choose?
LK-This change all the time. I would say that Stick With Your Plan . has been my favorite live most of time. sounds better live that in disk.
MB- What made you love hard rock
LK-I loved the rock for as long as I can remember. Me and a friend find "Destroyer" on cassette in the forest one day when I was 6 years. No cover. However, I KISS, so I took it and went home to listen. We had a couple of albums by the Beatles and Elvis in the house that I loved, even before that. My parents divorced when I was 5, so I spent much time alone at home pretending to be Tarzan and listening to records.
MB-Why do you think is so powerful now the Scandinavian scene?
LK "We winters long and boring, so occasionally a group of retarded kids gather in a basement with music and playing is a kind of medicine, anti-depressants. I do not know ...

LK-A lot of groups have impressed me. But I usually listen to old music. The most awesome band I've seen live is Opeth, but that has nothing to do with Lonely Kamel. In our style, I guess Clutch, Alice in chains, Karma to burn and Monster Magnet should be mentioned as good bands we've seen over the past two years.
MB-And a Norwegian group?
LK-Hmmmm .... To be honest I have not been impressed with any Norwegian band a long time. But Brutus is a band that you should listen, if you have not done.
MB-I write it down. Do you know any English band?
LK-No. But Stian mentions a English band. not remember the name. Its a billion records, so I guess he also knows a band from Mongolia. Hmmm ... It actually has a record of Mongolia ... Well say that instead of Nigeria. Are there any bands? Ask Stian.
MB-If you had to choose a disc from a Norwegian band and another of an international
LK-impossible, but let's Lonely Kamel -? Blues for the Dead and Led Zeppelin Physical graffiti.
MB-And a song by a group of Norwegian and other international band
LK-I do not really listen to much music Norwegian, few of the guys in the band Motorpsycho. Say
Surfer Vortex - Motorpsycho
Got a bone of my own - Night Sun. great song, my favorite right now.

LK-Inside Plato's ear, in one trip to Atlantis. With Led Zeppelin or The Beatles. I can not imagine anything more mythical than that.
MB-What do you think of the resurrection of the seventies in the bands sound the XXI century
LK "I think it's great. Why not? If bands want to copy a certain sound then that's fine. Lonely Kamel copy is not any sound or look like anything in particular. But try to avoid it either. If it's cold cold.
MB "That melody you have in your phone?
LK-I have about 150 riffs recorded or pieces of music on my phone. ideas and shit. No songs from other bands. Stian have a phone cell with a flashlight. Espen not even have internet. Thomas has some very nice ideas on your phone and usually a new riff Lonely Kamel as its ring tone.
My alarm is a doomy song I've done. I'm singing and it's so horrible I'm sure I woke up.
Lukas MB-Finally, a message to readers of Bourbon Motel
LK "We want to play in Spain! beautiful country, beautiful weather, beautiful people. Hope to see you soon!
Lukas MB-I hope so, thanks for everything, and a hug from Spain
